Some of the best credit cards, with the best interest rates and lowest annual fees, are offered by the Navy Federal Credit Union. The Navy Federal Credit Union was founded in 1933 and beginning with seven members and know has over 3.6 million members throughout the United States.
They offer loans including mortgage loans and car loans, and a wide variety of credit cards, including unsecured and secured cards. Their rates and fees are always among the best available.
For example, their Platinum credit card, which seems to be their top-of-the-line card, has no annual fee and a low 7.99% APR. I also wrote about their unsecured card for people with poor credit:
The Navy Federal ‘n Rewards Secured Card is one of the best credit cards for people with bad credit. You don’t have to be in the military to qualify, but you have to have ties to people in the military (I’ll post more on this shortly). The card is issued by the Navy Federal Credit Union, has a low 8.99% APR and no annual fee. This is an astoundingly good offer for someone with poor credit. It’s also a rewards card. The cardholder gets points that can be redeemed for merchandise.
So who qualifies for one of these cards? Well, member is limited to some degree and is determined by the National Credit Union Administration. According to the Navy Federal Credit Union website, If you fall under any of these categories, you’re eligible to join:
